The Swedish Agency for Community Protection and Preparedness is establishing in Umeå!
Do you want to be part of it from the beginning?
We are now looking for 8 psychologists who want to help build our operations in Umeå.
With us, we work together to accomplish our missions. We take responsibility for our own work and for each other. With quality in focus in everything we do, we create a work environment where everyone can grow, contribute, and develop.
In Umeå, we will be located in centrally located and newly renovated premises by the Ume River.
At the testing unit, senior physicians, psychologists, nurses, administrators, and caseworkers work together. We strive towards common goals and value close collaboration. There is a friendly atmosphere and strong loyalty here. We support each other and create conditions for both quality and job satisfaction.
Your tasks
As a psychologist with us, your main task is to interview and assess our candidates in various selection assignments. You will work independently based on our given methods, guidelines, and manuals. The work and methods are highly structured, so it is important that you enjoy a structured way of working.
Your work effort is part of a common testing chain, which means that you do not have scheduled visits but solve the day's assignments in collaboration with others.
We continuously work with follow-up and method and operational development. There may be times when you have the opportunity to contribute and participate in that work.
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone who:
- is a licensed psychologist issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
- has at least a few years of work experience in the profession after completing the PTP
- can express themselves well in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is an advantage if you have experience in:
- clinical assessments
- psychometric testing
Your personal qualities
As a psychologist with us, we see that you are self-driven, able to take responsibility for your tasks and drive them forward. We work towards clear goals, so it is important that you have the ability to focus on the goal, but also the ability to change direction if circumstances change.
You can collaborate well with others, being attentive and flexible. You can communicate clearly and ensure that information and messages get through.
We also see that you have the ability to weigh complex information together and then make correct assessments. It is also important that you can see the bigger picture and take into account the broader perspective.
About the employment
We offer you a permanent full-time position that begins with a probationary period.
The employment starts with participation in our two-week internal training in interview and assessment techniques. To work in the agency, a passing result in the training is required. The course may take place at the agency's other testing offices (Gothenburg, Malmö, or Stockholm).
Due to the nature of the work, you cannot work from home, but we hope this can instead contribute to a clearer division between work and leisure. You have the opportunity to exercise during working hours and are offered a favorable wellness allowance. We also offer parental leave supplement and up to 35 vacation days depending on age. Read more about the benefits and conditions we have on our website: https://www.pliktverket.se/om-myndigheten/jobba-hos-oss (https://www.pliktverket.se/om-myndigheten/jobba-hos-oss)
Before employment, we conduct a security review according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to reflect the society we operate in. We look forward to receiving your application!
To apply to us, you do not need to write a personal letter. Instead, we have chosen to focus on selection questions and your CV for a bias-free recruitment.
